Obtaining ShipStation API Credentials

The ShipStation API uses Basic HTTP authentication with an API key as the username and the API Secret as the password. Your credentials are generated and stored with your ShipStation account as follows:

1. If you haven't already done so, create a ShipStation account.
2. While logged into your ShipStation account, click the Account Settings icon in the upper-right area ().
3. Navigate to Account > API Settings ().
4. Click Generate New API Keys. The API credentials appear as in the image .

Once you have the credentials, you can use them to authenticate with the ShipStation API.
